Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has successfully concluded a filming schedule for Dunki in Saudi Arabia. Taking to Instagram, SRK shared a video set in a desert landscape and expressed gratitude to the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture for the stunning locations and warm hospitality.

In the caption of his video, Shah Rukh wrote, “A very big Shukran to #SaudiArabiaMinistryOfCulture, the team, and all who made this shoot schedule of #Dunki so smooth…”

In the video, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his satisfaction, saying, “There’s nothing more satisfying than completing a shooting schedule, as is Dunki in Saudi. Thank you for giving us such spectacular locations and the warm hospitality. I want to thank Raju sir and the rest of the cast and crew… a very big Shukran to you all. God bless you.”

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki is set to be released in December 2023 and features Taapsee Pannu. The film aims to shed light on the widespread use of an illegal backdoor route known as ‘Donkey Flight,’ used by Indians for migration to countries like Canada and the USA.

Shah Rukh Khan is making a comeback to the silver screen after a five-year hiatus, with a busy 2023 schedule including Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. During the Sharjah International Book Festival, SRK expressed confidence in the success of all three films, stating, “I don’t think I need to be nervous; they are all going to be superhit films.” He clarified that this belief is not arrogance but a child-like confidence in his preparation and effort, driving him to work tirelessly. Shah Rukh emphasized that it’s the belief that he has crafted a product that many people will appreciate and enjoy.
